Unfortunately, something's wrong with the audio when plugged by the aux, and I've already discarded any other factors such as bad cable or bad sound system. From what research I can find, you're almost certainly getting the Verizon version from most stores, so the bootloader is likely going to be locked which will prevent you from rooting. I had hell getting this thing activated, but I think that is more of an issue with Sprint and their technical support. I was two seconds away from leaving a bad review for this phone because Sprint tried to convince me the phone was not unlocked. Please be aware if you are using Sprint you may have to fight with them to get the thing activated. They may tell you the phone is locked, but you can confirm it is indeed unlocked with Google which is what I did. You can also use a universal sim card for BYOD. If you have issues with technical support at a Sprint location or over the phone, then post on the Sprint Community website.
